Mycosis Fungoides and Variants

The most common cutaneous lymphoma is known historically as mycosis fungoides (MF), and represents about 50-60% of all cutaneous lymphomas. The broader term “cutaneous T-cell lymphoma” has also been applied to mycosis fungoides and related conditions such as Sezary syndrome, but it is important to recognize that there are several forms of T-cell lymphoma in the skin unrelated to mycosis fungoides, including CD30positive large cell anaplastic lymphoma, subcutaneous panniculitic lymphoma, pleomorphic T-cell lymphoma, and other miscellaneous peripheral T-cell lymphomas.
